So little is known about the secret journeys of marine creatures, but the odyssey of the Atlantic loggerhead is one that we have at last begun to understand, and the true story, TURTLE: THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY, can now be told. The film’s characters are based on the true story of the loggerhead turtle, which is cast adrift on the Gulf Stream and sent on the ultimate odyssey around the North Atlantic.


The Film is directed by Nick Stringer, and produced by Sarah Cunliffe of Big Wave and Sam Taylor of F[[&]]ME. Co-production partners are Tradewind Pictures in Germany and Allegro Films in Austria.

German based media company Sola Media is handling worldwide sales on the film.

The film is planned to be in cinemas throughout the world in 2009 and is a spectacular natural history adventure as one turtle battles to complete the ultimate journey back to it’s beach in Florida and bring another generation of loggerhead turtles into the ocean.
