Little Shark Blue liked to laugh quite a lot.
He’d laugh at all things, whether funny or not.
He’d laugh if the wind was blowing so strong.
He’s laugh if the sea had a horrible pong.
Each day he’d wake up and look around the sea,
At the fishes and dolphins, all swimming quietly.
He just loved playing tricks on anyone near
And he laughed so much when he saw their fear.
He cried out loudly, “Beware, there’s a man”
“Swim for your life, swim as fast as you can”.
“He’s got some rods with some very sharp hooks
And he might just catch you before he cooks.”
The fishes and dolphins all panicked and swam,
Calling out to each other, “Swim as fast you can.”
Little Shark Blue would begin with a giggle,
Then he laughed so much he started to wiggle.
Then one day a very cute fish called Mandy,
Had a great idea which was funny and handy.
Everyone wanted to scare Blue Shark
And her plan was to scare him in the dark.
Her friends found an old hook lying in the sea
And they tied it to some seaweed (secretly).
When Blue Shark slept, they crept up to him
And tied the hook to his fin so could not swim.
He woke up and panicked and started to yell,
“Help me please, the man has got me as well”.
But everyone said, ‘Ah you’re joking with us,
Stop shouting Blue Shark, stop making a fuss.”
He begged with them to understand,
He was trapped by a hook and needed a hand.
But they laughed so much, they started to cry,
And he felt all alone and thought he would die.
Then Mandy the Fish stopped laughing and said,
“If we don’t help you, you will be dead.”
“I know” he said,“So please cut me free
And allow me to swim once again in the sea.”
“We could”, said Mandy,”If only you’ll say
That the jokes you play will stop this day.
No more scaring your friends in the sea,
If you promise this, then we’ll set you free.”
“You have my word”, said Little Blue Shark.
“It is scary to be trapped alone in the dark,
Or to think that a man will catch one of you,
I’m sorry, I’m sorry”, said Little Shark Blue.
So Mandy the fish called her friends to come near
And they heard his words and saw his fear.
And they knew he would stop playing jokes on them
And they knew they could all be friends again.
So they set him free in the ocean so clear,
Sure that he would never joke about fear.
Little Blue Shark was as happy as could be,
Swimming around with his friends in the sea.
